More on the Juno/Galactic Centre Conjunctions

Please Note: Thank you to all those who have responded so positively to these Updates, and forwarded them to your friends, etc. I value your feedback, even though it may not always be possible to send you a personal reply. It seems that the Astrology Updates are proving to be increasingly popular, with an ever-growing mailing list - they are also becoming increasingly longer and more detailed, requiring several hours of research and writing. So, I have decided, for Updates later this year (after the next one) to ask for a small subscription / energy exchange of £5.00 (GBPounds) per year, if you wish to continue to receive the full versions. I will post full details of how to pay, if you wish to subscribe, on the next Update, so that the one after that will be by subscription only. You need do nothing now re payment, as it still has to be set up. Thank you.

Now for the latest Update:

Following on from the three Pluto conjunctions with the Galactic Centre last year, and the Jupiter conjunction with the GC on 5th December, then Venus moved up into position and exactly aligned with the Galactic Centre on the 21st January.

Although this Venus alignment occurs roughly every 2 years, it is significant in that it followed after the three very rare Pluto alignments (every 248 years), and the infrequent Jupiter alignment (every 12 years):

Venus is concerned with relationship and assimilation - so, it can give an understanding of how we may begin to assimilate the experiences of the Pluto / GC conjunctions of last year, and their implications for us.

The challange of the three Pluto / GC conjunctions was to align us more fully with our true spiritual will and spiritual purpose; in the process of this, much may have been stripped away from us, which was not a clear expression of who we truly are at the core level of our being. For many, this was a challenging, difficult or sometimes painful process, particularly if the ego-self was resistant through fear or from not understanding what was happening.

Then along came Jupiter to bring in the Vision of how we might live and create from that new place within us...it also seemed to amplify any remnants that needed to be let go, so that we could see really clearly and graphically how and where we might still be stuck in old ways of thinking and feeling, that did not align with our core energy.

The dust has now settled from Jupiter's transit over the Galactic Centre, and then Venus approached: Bearing in mind that at the heart of the Galactic Centre lies a supermassive Black Hole, and that therefore there may be some very deep "Unknowns" that could still emerge, Venus should begin to allow us to integrate and assimilate the changes brought by Pluto, which were anchored into our Will-Body, and the Vision brough by Jupiter, which was anchored into our Higher Mental Body; Venus will start the process of anchoring these energies and high-level spiritual frequencies into our Astral/Emotional Body, which should (!!!) bring a growing sense of inner peace and understanding of the process that went on throughout last year.

This integration into the Emotional Body, will set the foundation for the three alignments of asteroid Juno with Galactic Centre during 2008, in March, May and October. This will assist us in learning how to become more fully and consciously in Right Relationship with others and the planet, from the new perspective that has been imprinted by Pluto and Jupiter.

Juno:

Juno is primarily concerned with Right Soul Relationship and the fulfilment of "Soul Contracts". Whereas Venus is concerned with our relationship needs, requirements, hopes and aspirations at the personality level, Juno can bring an understanding and appreciation of our deeper relationship patterns, karmc attachments, and soul-connections from past lives with others.

In essence, Juno can re-connect us to our primal soul-memory of what it means to be in Right Relationship with Divine Spirit, with ourselves and with others. Buried deep beneath the accumulated patterns, energy-imprints and memories of every relationship our soul has ever encountered throughout its many lifetimes, there lies a pure memory and yearning to re-experience simple, unconditional and all-embracing love, such as we experienced before our soul began its journey into incarnation and apparent separation from Divine Source.

We tend to project this memory as a need to find such unconditional love from another, in our search for relationship; it is the re-stimulation of this soul-memory that occurs when we fall in love, and for a while, whilst the energy of the new connection can hold us in this place, we may believe that at last we have found a love that accords with our primal soul-memory...that is until the unresolved patterns of the personalities, and the unintegrated or misaligned aspects of our (and the other’s) soul begin to kick in, and the spell of being utterly in love is broken, and we plummet back to Earth!

And no wonder, because we have re-stimulated our soul’s unconscious accumulated memory of every relationship, good or bad, blissful or painful, that we have ever experienced throughout many lifetimes, and we will have to move through these patterns, memories, fears, anxieties, hopes, expectations and inner resistances before we can return fully and permanently to the blissful state of being unconditionally in love. This is always a possibility – it just depends on how willing and able we are to peel away the layers in order to reach that blissful state, which is our birthright.

Now, as Juno makes three conjunctions with the Galactic Centre during 2008, there is a real possibility for many people to realise this yearning for a deep, fulfilling and complete return into Right Relationship in many areas of our lives and to be able to express and receive unconditional love:

The Galactic Centre:

The Galactic Centre is the means through which the energies of Divine Source manifest into our Galaxy. It is the creative source within the centre of the Galaxy that both creates new stars and re-absorbs them back into itself through the supermassive black hole at its core – it is Bhrama and Shiva. Energetically and symbolically, when planets or major asteroids align with this point in space (26º 57’ Sagittarius), they offer us the opportunity to re-connect those planetary qualities right back to Source.

Throughout last year, Pluto was aligned with the GC, challenging us to align our personal will with our spiritual will and individual divine purpose – now we are being challenged to carry that understanding out into all of our relationships in the world – to live from a place of Right Relationship. This means understanding the core patterns within our relationships, and resolving to address unresolved issues and karmic ties that hold us back from fully and lovingly expressing the truth of who we are, within all our relations. It is about understanding our "soul contracts" with others – those agreements that we made before our incarnation, about what we would be and do for others in order to further us and them along our respective spiritual paths.

Always, the essence of fulfilling these contracts is that we remain true to ourselves at the deepest level of our spiritual understanding – our service to others depends upon our ability to serve the truth within our being, and to respond to the needs of others from that cerntral place of inner balance, calm detachment and loving compassion. Where we get "caught" is when we believe that we owe others some sort of "karmic debt", which will inevitably have at least a thread of good old guilt woven into it. Whenever this is present, then we simply keep perpetuating the karmic attachment, whilst kidding ourselves that we are "working out our karma", or saying "it’s a karmic relationship, I have to endure it", and so on. Karma is resolved through love and forgiveness...of ourselves. That is the greatest service that we can do for another – forgive ourselves and release the energy-attachments to the other so that we and they can be spiritually free to follow our paths.

Sequence of Events in 2008, including dates of the Juno/GC alignments:

Solar Annular Eclipse – 7th February 2008 – maximum at 03.55 UT

This short (1 hour 10 mins long), but potent Annular Eclipse occurs over the South Pacific and Antartica. An Annular Eclipse occurs when the Moon is slightly further away from the Earth, so that it does not completely obscure the Sun’s disk, leaving a ring (Latin – annulus) or halo of the Sun’s light around the Moon’s dark disk. Energetically, this suggests that it is easier to be consciously aware of the Shadow contents that may release during an Annular Eclipse, than it is during a Total Solar Eclipse, where the Sun is completely obscured by the Moon.

The NASA Eclipse (Fred Espenak’s) website says:

"The annular path begins in Antarctica at 03:20 UT (GMT) when the Moon's antumbral shadow meets Earth and forms a 581 kilometre wide corridor near the base of the continent's peninsula region. Traveling westward, the shadow quickly crosses Antarctica and turns north as it heads into the Pacific. Greatest eclipse takes place at 03:55:05 UT.... At this instant, the annular duration is 2 minutes 12 seconds, the path width is 444 kilometres and the Sun is 16° above the featureless horizon of the open ocean. The central track continues north before gradually curving to the east where it ends at local sunset at 04:31 UT. During its 1 hour 10 minute flight across our planet, the Moon's antumbra travels approximately 5,600 kilometres and covers 0.59% of Earth's surface area....... The most unusual characteristic of this eclipse is that it begins and ends along Earth's sunset terminator. Most eclipse paths travel from west to east. However, the 2008 annular eclipse path begins by running east to west and slowly turns north before curving west to east near its terminus....Partial phases of the eclipse are visible primarily from eastern Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific."

The astrology of the Feburary Annular Eclispe:

The Eclipse involves a massive conjunction (or stellium, from 15º to 24º Aquarius) of Chiron, Mercury, Sun, Moon, Neptune, asteroid Vesta and the Moon’s Node, with these planets lying directly above northern Australia and Indonesia (Chiron is over Sumba, and Mercury south of Flores).

The north-south Meridian (MC) lines of Vesta and the Moon’s Node pass over Uluru (Ayer’s Rock), during the latter part of the Eclispe, imprinting the Essence of Divine Feminine Love as the spiritual purpose (Moon’s Node) of the Eclipse, into this most sacred site of the Aboriginal Australians. Uluru acts as a primary planetary root chakra, thereby anchoring these spiritual heart frequencies deep into the Earth’s core and energy grids.

Meanwhile, asteroid Ceres will be passing directly over Hawaii, bringing the frequencies of the soul-nurturing qualities of the Divine Mother directly into the Earth grids through the planetary Alta Major centre – Hawaii is known as the Royle Point of the planetary grids, meaning that any energies which imprint here are carried immediately into all of the Earth’s grids, similar to a Master point in Acupuncture.

So, over Indonesia and Australia the planets will imprint thier qualities into the Earth grids, enabling us to receive the healing frequencies (Chiron) of Unconditional Love (Neptune) directly into our spiritual heart centre (Vesta), our emotional centre (Moon), our Solar Plexus centre (Sun) and our Throat centre (Mercury). Meanwhile, Ceres will enable us to become conscious of what we are receiving, as Divine Mother energy floods the planetary grids with her healing and nurturing, through the Alta Major centre of Hawaii, and our personal Alta Major* centres, connecting us to our instinctual and ancestral memory of why we chose to incarnate in this lifetime, at this time.

* The Alta Major centre is at the bridge of the nose, connecting back to the Cerebellum or Primitive Brain, and our instinctual, Shamanic awareness of our Oneness with Nature and the Spiritual forces and beings that animate it.

Underlying these highly positive and creative energies, there will be an opposition between Mars in Gemini (Mars MC line over USA – Nevada/Utah/Arizona borders) to Juno (MC line running along Iran/Afghanistan border) and to Pluto (MC line over Pakistan down to Mumbai/Bombay, India).

This is likely to highlight the internal/external struggle currently going on between the traditionally polarised (macho) values borne of duality, and the conflict which that can engender (USA is ruled by the dualistic sign of Gemini, which can have a tendency to see things in black and white, right and wrong, us and them etc) with a more (and in some cases, extreme or fanatical) soul-centred approach to the world (Juno) or an attempt to seek control (Pluto) over threatening situations outside of one’s jurisdiction, or direct influence (Pakistan and India in this case). The positive side of this opposition is for Mars to bring a clarity of perception and discernment to a complex and subtle situation, that requires depth and sensitivity – GW Bush please take note!

The resolution to this opposition will lie also with the square aspects to Uranus and Pallas in Pisces, whose MC lines are running down the east coast of Australia, indicating that an input of wisdom may be forthcoming from this continent, either as a result of what is happening with Vesta and the Moon’s Node passing over Uluru, and the powerful ceremonial intention of the Aboriginal awareness of this*, or as a more direct result of some intervention or input from the political arena in Australia, or both.

* At one of the events organised at Avebury for the Pluto and Galactic Centre conjunctions last year, we were given a sacred song of the Aboriginal women to sing at the kundalini point of the Avebury Serpent avenue. We later received feedback that the Aboriginal women knew that the song had been sung on our land – no-one had told them! (The Michael/Mary line at Avebury forms part of the Rainbow Serpent line that flows around the planet and into northern Australia).

Whatever occurs during this eclipse, intuitive wisdom and spiritual love need to come to the forefront in our individual and collective awareness in order to plant the seeds (Ceres – corn mother) for the finest possibilities in each one of us to manifest, as we approach the three conjucntions of Juno and the Galactic Centre during 2008, and their challenge for us to live in Right Relationship with ourselves, others and the planet.

Lunar Total Eclipse – 21st February at 03.26 UT

The chart for the Lunar Eclipse is very similar to the Solar Eclipse. Unusually, the planets are in almost exactly the same positions over the Earth’s surface as for the Solar Annular Eclipse. In particular, Ceres MC is again over Hawaii, Mercury, Chiron, Neptune, Moon’s Node, Sun and Vesta MC lines are over Indonesia and northern Australia, with now the Sun’s MC line passing directly over Uluru. Mars is again over the western states of the USA, and Juno again over the Iran/Afghanistan border.

The main difference to the Solar Annular Eclipse is that the Moon has moved around to join retrograde Saturn and the Moon’s South Node on the cusp of Leo/Virgo.

This means that the Lunar Eclipse is about us letting go (South Node) of our old attitudes and resistances to the expression of the qualities of Right Relationship, that were seeded at the Solar Annular Eclipse. Virgo requires a high degree of Spiritual Discernment in order to be able to see how we are caught or trapped in Illusion by our own entrenched or habitual attitudes. The retrograde quality of Saturn means that we may have to dig deep in order to perceive and uproot these attitudes, which may be undermining our spiritual best intentions.

The good news is that there is plenty of spiritual "oomph" (to use the technical jargon) provided by the other planets in order to help us in this process – the key is not to get caught in the old negative patterns, or to reproach ourselves for having these, as this will again just perpetuate the hold that they have on us. See them, acknowledge them, let them go, move forward. Everything will be in place to enable us to do this with ease, if we choose it.

Juno conjunct GC - 16th March 2008 – exact at 10.39 Universal Time /GMT

At this first conjunction, we will get a taste of what is possible as this process unfolds throughout the year ahead. Juno, Pluto and the GC form part of a "Mystic rectangle" pattern with Pluto opposing Mars, and Saturn opposing a conjunction of the Moon’s Node, Mercury and Venus.

A Mystic Rectangle is always in search of some spiritual ideal – the catch is not to kid ourselves that we are already there, by creating a false sense of balance and spirituality, whilst aspects of our shadow are still festering away on the inside, unseen by ourselves (and sometimes others), and depleting the energy of our spiritual core, in order to maintain an outward appearance of spiritual "togetherness". The release comes when we can confront these inner conflilcts, acknowledge the shadow qualities, and truly express the ideal as a natural outpouring from our core energy, not something that we constantly have to work hard at in order to maintain a semblance of balance and spirituality.

So in this particular pattern, we have the frequencies from Divine Source flowing in from the Galactic Centre, seeking to express themselves through our relationships, challenging the established ways and underlying emotional attitudes which inform how we habitually express our personal will (Mars).

Meanwhile, retrograde Saturn and the Moon’s South Node are challenging us to release the imprinted attitudes from past lives, particularly where we may feel that our pride may have been hurt (the South Node is conjunct the star Regulus in Leo, one of the so-called Royal Stars of Persia, who’s downfall is to seek for revenge). So this pattern is counselling the letting go of deeply held patterns of the past through conscious intention and forgiveness – the meaning of the Moon’s North Node, Mercury and Venus which are all opposite Saturn in Aquarius and Pisces.

2nd April at 09.24 – Pluto turns retrograde

18th April at 12.49 UT – Juno turns retrograde

Juno retrograde conjunct GC - 19th May – exact at 22.47 UT/GMT

Now, whilst Juno is in its retrograde phase, we have a Grand Trine pattern from Juno and Pluto to Saturn and to Pallas Athene, whilst the rest of the chart looks like it is in a process of chaotic release! The balanced figure of the Grand Trine will hold it all together, and act as a reservoir of strength and stability for us to draw upon, whilst everything may be going crazy around us! Saturn will enable us to draw upon the established patterns of relationship from our past, and Pallas will enable us to draw on our inner knowing of what is right for us and for others to remain in soul- connection and right relationship – the challenge at this time will be to trust that inner knowing, and not be distracted from the demands of others, and the frantic activity going on around us. A time to stay centred!

Solar Total Eclipse – 1st August 2008 – centre at 10.21 UT - See next Update

Lunar Partial Eclipse – 16th August 2008 – centre at 21.10 UT - See next Update

Final Juno/GC conjunction - 23rd October – exact at 02.31 UT/GMT

The third conjunction with the GC creates a pattern of rich and dynamic movement, as if attempting to weave everything together into a coherent whole – this too may be a time of confusion until we get to the moment when Juno finally catches up to Pluto, creating a beautiful crystalline-like pattern in the skies, which will enable us to anchor the energies of the Juno/GC conjucntions and express them fully in our daily lives:

Juno conjuncts Pluto – exact on 30th October at 08.49 UT

Juno and Pluto are exactly conjunct, aligning our soul-body with our spiritual-will body and anchoring these energies into the fire within the Earth, through a trine aspect to Great Mother Ceres in Leo. Ceres, in turn connects to the Moon in Scorpio, challenging us to carry these frequencies deep into our emotional energy-structure, using them to align with our spiritual purpose (Moon’s Node) and calling in the frequencies of Unconditional Love to heal us at the deepest level (Chiron approaching Neptune), drawing on the resources of our rational mind (Mercury in Libra) and our intuitive mind (Pallas in Gemini), which form a Grand Trine with the Node, Neptune and Chiron.

Pallas is also the pivotal point of a Grand Cross pattern, and a Projection Figure or "Finger of God". So, the intuitive mind will act as the pivotal key, in the integration of these three interlaced patterns.

The creativity of the Grand Trine, will balance the more challenging energies of the Grand Cross: Here, we have a Venus/Pallas opposition and a Saturn/Uranus opposition. Venus in Sagittarius will bring the urge to explore new possibilities and horizons in our relationships, whilst Pallas will bring the voice of intuitive knowing to prevent this exploration from going too far.

Similarly, Uranus in Pisces will be urging us to break free of past limitations, fears and inhibitions engendered in us over the last 2000 years of the Piscean Age, whereas Saturn in Virgo will keep us grounded and acting in ways that are well-considered and practical, using our spiritual discernment in the choices that we make.

Finally, the Finger of God pattern will enable us to express our intuitive knowing (Pallas) through the spiritual overview of Jupiter and the Right Action of Mars.

The whole pattern looks like a spinning top pivoting on Pallas Athene, so as long as we can remain centred and balanced, then we can express all of hte above qualities in their most positive aspect.

With Love and Blessings, Marcus
